The Story of Raunak Biswas

Behind Marinage stands Raunak Biswas, a visionary from West Bengal, driven by a dream to bring the yachting culture to India.

For over five years, Raunak has worked tirelessly to nurture India’s marine ecosystem — facing setbacks, financial limitations, and industry barriers — yet never losing his course.

The name “Marinage” was coined by Raunak Biswas, meaning “a new age for mariners.” Despite never having seen a yacht in person or setting foot on one, Raunak’s passion led him deep into the marine industry — where he successfully sold boats for manufacturers and jet skis to some watersports companies.

In 2021, Raunak even secured an international deal, but due to limited funds to travel and close negotiations, he was bypassed by brokers — causing him to lose a commission worth nearly ₹2 crore.

Still, with only a few dollars left and a sea of determination, Raunak set sail again — this time with a bigger purpose: to build Marinage, a company that stands for passion, purpose, and progress in India’s marine sector.
